What ever happened to?

The Mutton Birds

Formed in New Zealand in 1991 by Don McGlashan, Ross Burge and David Long, the band released 3 albums (along with a couple of live albums and a collection of “B-sides and Bastards”) before they disbanded in 2002. They released some great songs, including ‘Dominion Road’, ‘Your Window’, ‘Wellington’, ‘Along the Boundary’, ‘Pulled Along By Love’, Goodbye Drug’, and a pretty good cover of ‘Don’t Fear the Reaper’. Unfortunately, the band didn’t receive much notice or success outside New Zealand and Australia, despite a late-career move to the UK. Check them out; they deserve not to be forgotten.
